Running and laughing...

I kept reminding myself that all I needed to do was run for one mile but that my goal was two miles today. It worked! Two miles in less than 19 minutes plus another quarter mile and some change. Taking the pressure off of a run by breaking it down is a brilliant little help. I've used that technique before but time goes by and I forget about it.  After the run I worked on legs and arms using these machines:
  • Leg extension 40 lbs. 3 x 15 reps
  • Seated leg curl 35 lbs. 3 x 15 reps
  • Row/rear delt 40 lbs. 3 x 12 reps
  • Seated chest press 35 lbs. 3 x 12 reps
Then I moved onto the floor and finished up with ab work, a few more weights and stretching:
  • Bicep curls 8 lbs. 12 reps
  • Dumbell upright rows  8 lbs. 12 reps
  • 50 Abs/leg flies (my *creative* made-up name)
  • Plank 60 seconds
Ahh, nothing like the exhausted feeling of muscles having been worked!
